JONATHAN GORDON, PRINCIPAL
Jonathan Gordon served with the Atlanta Police Department for 28 years and retired as Deputy Chief of Police. His police career included a broad range of assignments and responsibilities as he rose through the ranks, including patrol, special operations, homicide investigations, and dignitary protection. He also commanded the Olympic Planning Office, with responsibility for all of the department's Olympic security preparations for the 1996 Summer Olympic Games. In addition, he chaired the inter-agency management committee responsible for developing the Olympic Master Security Plan. Mr. Gordon also had leadership roles regarding preparations for two Super Bowl games, and other major events. As Deputy Chief, he commanded the Technical Services Division with responsibility for 911 communications, computer services, records management, crime scene investigations, criminal history records management, and crime analysis.
Mr. Gordon has conducted training seminars, lectured, and consulted about the following topics:
- Homeland Security preparations
- Major special event preparations and operations
- Incident command and management
- Comprehensive plan development
- How to develop and facilitate table top, command post, and field exercises
He has performed these services for:
- The International Association of Chiefs of Police
- The FBI National Academy
- The Georgia Association of Chiefs of Police
- British Ministry of Defense
- The Israel National Police

Mr. Gordon holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Criminal Justice from Brenau College, Gainesville, Georgia, and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Georgia State University, Atlanta, Georgia.
